Pattern Inspiration | River Weed in Cream

The Chalk river close to where I grew up always inspires me. I have a deep appreciation for the plants and animals that inhabit it and the surrounding riverbanks.

Each summer, the tiny frog flower emerges above the ripples, while small white blossoms float on the flowing water, creating a mix of green and white hues.

The river weed belongs to the buttercup family and is known by its Latin name, Ranunculus, which translates to "little frog."

The finished design is included in the River Collection.
